| A young man named Reilly Web was restoring his 1967 Ford Galaxie 500 and needed some brake work, really needed some brake work. The standard drum brakes on a '67 Galaxie were just adequate when the car was built, but an upgrade to front disc brakes was a much safer choice. | |
| On first inspection, the front shoes look like they have a lot of life left in them, but wait... | |
| In back there was an obvious problem. One of the lugs was sheared off and needed replacing. | |

| Street Rods Forever ordered a disc brake upgrade kit from Master Power Brakes designed specifically for the Galaxie and assessed the condition of the rest of the parts. | |
| One definite problem was the scoring on one of the brake drums. This was some serious damage and the drum was put in the scrap iron pile. | |
| With the new Master Power discs and calipers installed this highway cruiser won't have any problem stopping. | |
| To insure the new discs and rebuilt rear drums all work together properly, a new master cylinder and proportioning valve were installed with some new brake lines. Now this classic Ford has plenty of whoa to go along with all the go. | |
| Everyone at Street Rods Forever is glad that Reilly will have plenty of stopping power in his street machine. It's also nice to see the younger generation getting involved in the classic car hobby. | |
