| This small block Ford 351 Windsor engine was rebuilt with lots of new parts as documented on the build page. One of Street Rods Forever's clients decided it was time to replace the tired engine in his 1927 Ford Roadster and the Windsor was a perfect choice. | |
| One of Street Rods Forever's clients decided it was time to replace the tired engine in his 1927 Ford Roadster. | |
| The old 302 motor was running poorly and the build needed to be refreshed throughout. | |

|
| After removing the fuel injection components, the block, waterpump and housing were repainted. | |
| The reassembly went pretty quickly once the Old Ford Blue was covered with black paint and the new parts arrived. | |
| The valve covers from the old engine were used but the 351 got a new Edelbrock intake and carbuerator. | |
| A March Performance pulley system was used to dress up the front of the engine. Since the 27 Ford is an open top car, no air conditioning bracket was required. | |
| The original transmission got a thorough cleaning before being mated to the new engine. | |
| New bushings support the engine and transmission as it is installed. | |
| Originally, the radiator in the 27 Roadster was supported by a diagonal brace. This was modified to accomodate the March pulleys and electric cooling fan. | |
| Cooflex radiator hose covers add more bling to the open engine compartment. A smaller oil filter was needed for clearance. | |
| A new Lokar flexible braided transmission dipstick was installed on the firewall. | |
| The old headers were cleaned up and given a fresh powder coat covering. The B&M side draft air cleaners were reused for a special look. | |
| After the wiring was sorted out, the installation was much cleaner. There was actually a small bucket of wires and connectors removed that were unnecessary. | |
| The original wiring did not include any fuses so a small fuse block was added under the dashboard. | |
| Some of the powder coating on the headers had to be removed for the baffles to be inserted and for the sidepipes to slide on. | |
| With a little scrubbing and Metal Armor polish the wheels cleaned up and this hot little roadster is ready to roll. | |
